Soft and spacious
Here's the thing. The house we are building could literally go any direction we want with decor. We could go modern, or glam, or coastal, or transitional... really it's a blank canvas and I've made sure that the architecture can adapt to whatever decor element is chosen.
Here's another thing; I hate labels and locking into one word definitions of space. I like contemporary coastal shabby glam... (yes I know... what the heck is that?!) Well... in my mind; it's this.
This rug has had my heart since I first laid eyes on it on Lulu& Georgia. I think it gently grounds the room with a soft bohemian feel. The bubble chairs have been something I've wanted to find a place for in one of my homes for about 10 years. Now, I do not believe the great room will be the place... but how fun would they be flanking a white fireplace?!
This wicker table brings in just enough earth element to help bring dimension and texture to this smooth soft room and introduces a slight coastal idea that blends nicely with the distressed tan/gray hardwood floors. The multi-pendent chandelier plays so well with the bubble chairs and the hint of iridescence in the glass compliments the pink and blue in the rug!
What are your thoughts on these pieces together?!
